iPhone 5: Dual-Mode, Tapered Back, 3.7 inch Screen, Gesture-Sensitive Home Button? www.drmobiles.co.nz

Holy hot! Another rumor for us to throw into the journal (courtesy This is my next). If we go by the latest reports, the fifth generation iPhone 5 will be a complete redesign of current iPhone 4 model and not just a kind of iPhone 3G-to-iPhone-3GS transition. The rear part of the iPhone will be tapered and thinner at the bottom than the top, resembling the new MacBook Air with iPod touch 4G like aluminum back.

The Home Button will be larger and sensitive to gestures. The display screen will be of 3.7-inches and not 4 as rumored before. Interestingly, the screen will be edge-to-edge, occupying the entire front of the iPhone with almost no bezel. However, it will keep the current resolution, dropping pixel density from 326 to 312, but still above the Retina mark of 300 pixels per inch. This is my next also adds by saying that Apple is exploring ways to hide the earpiece and the sensors behind the screen.

Through some of his legit sources, Joshua confirms that the next iPhone will gallop on Qualcomm’s dual GSM/CDMA Gobi chipset and will support both GSM and CDMA networks worldwide. This strategic move would certainly lower down Apple’s supply chain and operational costs in long run.

He further claims that iPhone 5 could arrive with features such as wireless/inductive charging and NFC, but it actually looks foggy to us as well. We will get to know the actual features only when the iPhone 5 is launched which is rumored to be released in Q3-2011.

We will update you when more information about iPhone 5 comes-in. For all updates follow us on Twitter or become a Facebook fan. [Via 9to5Mac, Joshua]
