BlackBerry OS 7 browser beats iOS, Android browsers ("BlackBerry Repair"(\)

The new BlackBerry OS 7 listed browser improvements as one of its major selling points. Some benchmarks from RIM show impressive results – the browser bests Mobile Safari and the Android Browser at JavaScript and page loading times.
Tests were run on the new BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900, which went head to head with the iPhone 4, Google Nexus One and Nexus S. An old BlackBerry running the BB OS6 with the old web browser was used as well.
The new browser in BB OS 7 loads pages 1.6 times faster than the one in the previous version – 7.8 seconds to load a page on average versus 12.4 seconds for the old version. Panning and zooming is much faster too, says RIM though they didn’t provide numbers for that.

The JavaScript engine, which got a JIT compiler, flew past the mobile browsers on iOS and Android. The BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 ran the Sunspider benchmark in 2.84 seconds (lower is better), while an iPhone 4 passed it in 3.23s, the two Google droids posted times between 5 and 6 seconds and finally, the BlackBerry OS 6 browser did it in 10.8 seconds.
Of course, what RIM neglected to mention is that all things equal, the Bold Touch 9900 has a 20% advantage in pure clock speed – its Qualcomm CPU runs at 1.2GHz, while the rest of the competition have their run at 1GHz (and the old Berry runs at much lower speeds of course).
Still, the results are very impressive and hands-on reports say that the browser is lightning fast in general, not just in JavaScript benchmarks.

Motorola Droid X VS Apple iPhone 4 - By Dr Mobiles Limited

Motorola Droid X vs. Apple iPhone 4: Comparison
Motorola Droid X is the most highly rated Android devices in the market. When it comes to competition it certainly outshines HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Galaxy S and poses a strong threat to the powerful iPhone 4.
This article draws an analogy between Motorola Droid X and iPhone 4 to help you rationally decided which one to choose.
Design and Display
The design of both Droid X and iPhone 4 has an appeal of their own. Droid X has a trendy and decent appearance like most of the Motorola handsets. On the other hand, iPhone 4 has a unique Apple-esque design look and feel. Both handsets go hand in hand in terms of design.
However, in the case of display the situation is a little tricky. Droid X has a 4.3 inch display screen which is larger than that of iPhone 4 that is 3.5 inches but the latter hold superiority with respect to screen resolution. So, it’s a trade off the user makes either go for a larger screen of Droid X with a nice screen resolution or opt for iPhone 4 that may stand inferior in screen size but has a better resolution than Droid X.
Hardware
Droid X and iPhone 4 are efficient and high-tech smartphones. Droid X has a 1GHz processor with a 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal memory and 16GB memory card extendable to 32 GB, where as its counter part is equipped with the same processor and RAM but has a 16 GB internal memory and 32 GB memory card.
Operating System
Android 2.1 and iOS4 are strong functioning operating systems that support the Droid X and iPhone 4 respectively. The major difference which sets the two operating systems apart and gives a competitive edge to iPhone 4 is the range of applications offered. iOS4 hosts about 200,000 applications and in contrast the Android Market has swollen up to a total of 65,000 apps.
Multimedia
Both of these phones have impressive high quality cameras. Droid X comes with a 8MP, 3264 X 2448 pixel camera with an outclass dual LED flash where as iPhone 4 has a 5MP, 2592 X 1944 pixel camera that has a remarkable and better image sensor . The results of the later are a little superior than Droid X owing to its image sensor.
Even though the Droid X and iPhone have the identical video recording statistics of 72p at a frame rate of 30 FPS but iPhone 4 offers a front facing camera for video calls which Droid X does not offer.
Connectivity
both of these competing phones feature GPRS, EDGE, 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS but the network provider of Droid i.e., Verizon is far much efficient and better than that of iPhone 4, AT&T.
Conclusion
As it is pretty evident from the above evaluation neither of the two competitors dominantly over shadow the other and even though they might seem relatively inferior or superior in certain aspects, in total both equally deserve to be stated as the best smartphones available till this date.

There are 7 sins and 7 types of Apple iPhone Users!

Every other smart phone is used in a different way by different people but every smart phone if you closely observe has users who are very typical. These users can be categorized into different groups. AllAreaCodes has come up with an infographic, which shows you 7 type of iPhone users. Check it out below. Now whet didnt they come up with same inforgraphic for say Android or Symbian. Umm..may be they will but if you see, iPhone was the first smart phone that truly changed the game and field for smart phone makers as well as users. A lot of people dont agree with this and they feel that Android, Symbian are superioir OSs than iOS, well true, they are but they seriously do not have the charm of the iOS, well Android is getting popular but Symbina..naaah...forget about it.
